Under the efforts of team lead and long time member Alexa Pleggenkuehle, the focus of the 3rd MHAT Team was to reveal and support brave students who shared their own experience with mental health struggles. Continuing on the strength of 10 members, the MHAT Team at NFV grew to over 65 including students, faculty, and community members! The popularity of wristbands reading "I am a survivor" were a hit from the halls of NFV to Davenport, IA.
Activities included:
-Christmas Candy Canes
-Raising over $555 for the NAMI Institute of Greater Des Moines
-Voted Karaoke for the Student Body featuring students and teachers
-The Annual Assembly featuring student speakers and brave adults inviting all the student body and community members.
-Producing the MHAT Video (can be found on media page of this website)
-Wearing Green for Mental Health Awareness Day (May 4th)
-Reaching out to sponsors in the community.
